The Kew Trug, exclusively developed and handmade for Kew Gardens by The Truggery using methods and materials that have remained unchanged for hundreds of years.
Known as the 'Sussex Trug' due to its distinctive rectangular shape with rounded corners, this basket is a versatile choice and won't be too heavy when full. The materials, sourced from locally coppiced Sweet Chestnut and Willow, enhance the strength and durability of this basket. Requiring minimal maintenance, it is built to last for generations.
Kew Copper Trowel - Featuring a rose motif, it’s an essential planting and weeding tool, ideal to use in borders, pots and tubs. Made with sustainably sourced ash handle and top-quality stainless steel metalwork, it's finished with a very thick and durable copper coat and comes with a useful leather strap.
Kew Rose Gardening Gloves - With a stylish rose floral pattern inspired by the botanical artworks from the Kew Archives, these gloves are both soft and durable, featuring a cushioned palm and a gathered wrist for enhanced comfort and protection.

Each bag of bee mix contains 100 seed balls, each with approximately 30 bee-friendly wildflower seeds, including Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram.

Sustainable
This trug is locally made in Hers Monceaux, East Sussex using locally sourced and sustainably coppiced Sweet Chestnut and Willow.
Trug making plays a small but important part in helping maintain our coppiced woodlands which support a diverse range of flora and fauna. Areas of Sweet Chestnut poles are traditionally cut in rotation to supply not just trug wood but also hop poles, fencing stakes, bean poles, pea sticks, for building and charcoal production: every bit of wood can be put to use.
The willow used for trug boards and feet is a waste product of the cricket bat industry. Trug production methods are very low impact and create little waste. Offcuts end up as hurdles or firewood, sawdust is composted and shavings go for animal bedding.

We offer FREE delivery on UK-only orders over £60 (Tracked Standard delivery service). (This does not apply to our print-on-demand service)

Gift membership products
Gift Membership packs are sent using a tracked and signed for service. Unfortunately, we are unable to replace gift memberships that are lost or misplaced once received by the recipient.

International and EU orders are subject to variable postage costs calculated at checkout; these are dependent on the size and value of your order.
