Author: Richard Wilford, 32 pages, 200 x 200 mm, paperback, ISBN 978182466332. Kew Publishing, 2017.

Opened in the summer of 2016 and stretching 320 metres along either side of the Broad Walk path at Kew Gardens, the Great Broad Walk Borders are the longest double herbaceous borders in the country. They are planted for summer colour to create a spectacular and unforgettable floral display. The borders were designed by Kew’s Head of Garden Design, Richard Wilford, and comprise a series of linked circles bisected by the path. In this booklet, the planting plans are reproduced with the names of all the plants used to create this wonderful new horticultural feature for Kew. This revised edition contains updates on the borders planting for 2017.

Richard Wilford is the Manager of Garden Design at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He has a particular interest in bulbs and is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society's Bulb Committee. He writes extensively for Kew Magazine and Gardens Illustrated, amongst other publications.
