Kew x TFL Bamboo Keyring, Cactus Flower
This unique and vibrant Keyring features a vintage railway poster designed by artist John Barker, who occasionally signed his work in the late 1930s as Kraber.
The poster was produced in 1935 for London Transport and advertises the opening times of the Cactus House in Kew Gardens. Featuring a cactus plant and a flower scene of oranges and greens, this illustration was created to entice the Londoners to visit this special attraction and it's been printed here on responsible sourced bamboo base.
Transport for London have a vast archive of posters used across the London underground and transport networks to advertise attractions in the city. They have a special collection of artworks featuring Kew dating back to the 1910s and we have selected several of these to use on gift products in the shops and online.
This beautiful keyring is part of the exclusive range created through the collaboration between Kew Gardens and Transport for London and it features homeware, print, stationery and souvenirs.
Size: W3.5 x H5cm

Sustainability credentials
Many of the products included in our latest collection created in collaboration with TFL are made primarily from bamboo, chosen for its exceptional qualities as an ideal and sustainable resource.
Bamboo is an exceptionally sustainable resource due to its unique properties. It grows at an extraordinary rate, allowing for frequent harvesting without harming the ecosystem, and reaches maturity quickly. Unlike many other crops, bamboo requires no pesticides and minimal water to thrive. Additionally, it can regenerate from its own roots, eliminating the need for replanting. Bamboo also plays a significant role in combating climate change by absorbing more carbon dioxide than most plants and releasing 30-35% more oxygen into the atmosphere. Furthermore, it is easily compostable in industrial facilities, breaking down in less than 180 days.
