Product Description
These Sunflower seed variety transforms the humble sunflower into a breathtaking statement piece. Its petals smoulder with the deep, velvety tones of a fine claret wine, creating an unforgettable display from summer until the first frosts.
'Claret' is a branching sunflower, meaning each plant produces a profusion of stunning, medium-sized flowerheads on strong, elegant stems.
Ammi flowers are also attractive to wildlife, luring bees and butterflies to their delicate blooms.
This seed packet includes:

Growing tips:
- Sowing months: January, February, March
- Flowering months: July, August, September
- Sowing info: Sow March to May thinly, 12mm (½") deep in drills 30cm (12") apart in well cultivated soil raked to a fine tilth. Germination usually takes around 21 days.
- Alternatively, you can sow indoors in late winter/early spring for earlier flowering. Sow individually into 7.5cm (3") pots at 20-30°C (68-86°F). When well grown, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost.
