Watering Can Indoor Planter, Grow Your Own Muscari
This lovely gift set in the shape of a watering can includes everything you will need to grow your own black-eyed, violet-blue Muscari flowers.
Indoor Growing Instructions
Making the compost: Place the peat-free compost pellets in a suitable mixing container and add 600ml of lukewarm water. Allow to stand and expand for 30-60 minutes, drain off any excess water and mix compost well.
How to Plant: Plant from August onwards. Fill 80% of the planter with compost. Place the bulbs with the nose upright and cover with more compost.
Before planting, soak the Anemone corms in water for about two hours. Half fill the planter with compost and moisten. Plant the corms, cover with the remaining compost and moisten. Place the planter in a cool, dark position (7-9 degrees). Keep the compost moist and when the shoots are 4cm tall (approx. 10-12 weeks) place in a light position (18-20 degrees). Once in flower, move to a cool, bright position to prolong life. After purchase store in a cool, dry place.
Contents: 5 Muscari armeniacum bulbs (7-8cm) and peat-free compost pellets.
