Protea are one of the world's most unusual flowers, known worldwide as a magnificent cut flower and is South Africa's national flower. Outstanding flowers up to 30cm (12") across with deep crimson red to pink or cream bracts. Plants are best grown in a conservatory.

The artwork on the packet reproduces prints and paintings from the Library and Illustrations Collections of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and depicts plants found in the Temperate House, some of which are threatened or endangered in the wild.
